Horses have been with us for thousands of years in the wild. In their natural environment, the hoof evolved based on the terrain, environment and diet to always strive to maintain proper balance in their motion. As humans have domesticated them for pleasure and competitive events, our knowledge on the mechanics and physics have grown to we have tried to compensate for these new variables to keep them comfortable and sound.
It takes an experienced and keen eye to see and understand the subtleties of the horse motion and the big role the hoof plays in the aspects that keep horses sound whether barefoot or using shoes. The is Freddie's passion and life mission to share this knowledge with his clients and his equine family.
